Difference bettween clean and dirty water
In this picture to the left is a little boy drinking out of a muddy river. In some places this is the only option of any water. By them drinking this they can get so many different diseases. They don't mind taking that risk because they are so thirsty. There are so many different diseases but some main ones are Malaria, Cholera, and Trachoma. "Malaria is a serious disease caused by a parasite carried by certain types of mosquitoes. Cholera is an acute bacterial infection of the intestinal tract(Unicef.)" One of the more common one is Trachoma. "Trachoma is an eye infection spread mainly through poor hygiene caused by lack of adequate water supplies and unsafe environmental sanitation conditions (Unicef.)" Around "6 million people are blind today" because of ths disease(Unicef.)

This picture to the left is what clean water looks like. It has been through a purification system and is now coming out of a faucet. "Various water purification systems exist, but their cost and requirement for a pre-existing infrastructure prevent them from being available to the developing world (Open Knowledge.)" We are very lucky here in Austin because we have great purification systems and we also have lots of them, which provides almost everyone in our city with clean water.
